Class of 1939 Posted by Mike Tully re: HG1965 on July 19, 2009 My mother, Florence Carney Tully, will celebrate her 88th birthday later this month. She will be coming to New York in August for a visit. Mom graduated from Horace Greeley H.S. in 1939. I'm not sure how many of her classmates are still with us. Their 70th reunion probably wouldn't be well attended. It was a small class to begin with, and then there was WW II.... I believe the Class of '39 may have had the first yearbook. Mom has her copy. She also has a great class picture from the second grade with Mrs. Moore as the teacher. My father, mother, and sister Maureen, and I all had Mrs. Moore. My mother and I also had the same English teacher ou senior years, Miss Kurson. It's a good thing she's not alive to read this note.
